Lord Vaderby *timswit

Last week, over at the RBMC blog [link] instead of drawing our planed weekly topic, we chose to honor the art of legendary concept painter Ralph McQuarrie. So I drew Darth Vader, but instead of using the final film design of Darth, I tried to emulate some of McQuarrie's earlier concept paintings, with more of an elongated mouth area and larger samurai like helmet.

I haven't drawn Darth Vader in what seem like 10 years, so this was really fun to do.

FIRST, this is amazingly well colored, the lighting is stunning and the detail is so captivating.
SECOND, what an amazing lil twist to the biggest badass ever. Oh Vader... Ohhhhhhh~ delicious.
